ENGINEERED TO ROLL TRUE.
A green is mostly what is under it. A closer look at the construction, layer by layer: the pile the ball rolls on, and the backing that keeps it true.

BRING THIS TO YOUR BRANCH.
Five things that make the call short. None of them has to be exact.
01A sketch of the space
The shape is the whole conversation. A rough plan on paper, or a photo from an upstairs window, is enough.
02Rough size
Paced out is fine. Length and width, or the area if you know it.
03Indoors or outdoors
They are different builds. Say which, and what the floor or the ground is.
04Number of cups
One to five. The branch sets them into the base before the surface goes down.
05How you want it to play
Forgiving, true, or a bit more challenging. The build follows the answer.
TWO SURFACES. ONE QUESTION.
A putting green, or a surface to play on. Here is the difference.
TO PLAY.
Pro Putt is the putting surface, the short dense pile a ball rolls on. True Sport is the longer pile for a surface you run on. Both sit on the base your branch builds first.
GOOD QUESTIONS. Straight answers.
Before the first putt, a few things worth knowing.
01How fast will the green be?
Speed comes from the construction as a whole: the pile, how it is infilled and how the base is built. Tell your branch how you want it to play and they will talk through what that takes.
iSPEED IS A PROPERTY OF THE BUILD, NOT THE ROLL.
02Can you build in contours and more than one cup?
Contours, multiple cups and fringe are all normal parts of a green. Bring the shape of the space to your branch and they can talk through what fits.
03How is a backyard putting green built?
The ground is dug out and a compacted base is laid and levelled, with the breaks and contours shaped into the base itself. The cups are set, then the putting surface is laid, seamed and infilled, with a fringe around it if you want one.
04What base does a green need?
More preparation than a lawn, because the surface has to be true. Levels, contours and cup positions are set before any turf goes down, so it is worth planning early.
05Indoors or outdoors?
Both are done, and they are not the same build. Tell your branch where it is going and they will go through the differences that matter.
06Can I see a sample first?
Ask your selected branch about samples and availability. A putting surface is worth rolling a ball across before choosing it.
07Is True Sport for a backyard or a school field?
Both are done, and they are different jobs. Tell your branch the space, who plays on it and how often, and they will talk through what the base and the surface need to be for that use.
BUILD IT WHERE YOU PLAY.
Tell us about the space and your branch. We will route your enquiry to the team that builds greens.
